Hi all, im doing a full restoration of a 1976 kawasaki kh 400 , and was wondering what oil do I put in the engine.
Any help much appreciated

The short answer to your question, 80 to 85 weight gear oil, NOT synthetic for the crankcase. Walmart oil is inexpensive and you can buy it in a 1 liter bottle.

For the oil injection system, I use Motul 710 sythetic which is available at the moped shop closest to me. Bel-Ray PJ1 is great as well.
