This is a 1974 H1E that I had rebuilt the motor on in 2006. Bike has only done about 3 or 4K miles since then but because of a very sad turn of events, it has been parked in a shed under a bike cover for the past 5 years. About a month ago, it was offered to me at a price I could not refuse. I picked it up yesterday.

I'm the 3rd owner. The person I purchased it from bought it in 1976. The bike is mostly original and complete.

Couple of things I need to do to get it going again. I have to fix the brakes just so i can get it out of my truck by myself without running myself over. The fuel system is pretty bad. Dead gas and the Kreem liner is literally bubbling off the tank so I'm not even going to waste my time trying to start it until I flush the tank and rebuild the petcock and carbs. Several years in a shed under a bike covér has the bike pretty crusty, so a good cleaning (yes, I said cleaning) to get the mildew and mouse crap off of it and hopefully it will be a runner.

The bike is not for sale at this time

That's a good feature for any motorcycle to have... not running over the owner.

Good luck with the project!

Way to go Jeff!
Good timing, you have just enough time to get it done by The Gap. :D

Axle cap on front fork is installed backwards, gap goes to the rear.

Good start for a restoration.

Good score Jeff. I know what I would throw in the scrap pile ASAP. ;)
