The H2A I got last month had a center stand the previous owner didn't have on it, said didn't have a spring. I got a spring for it and put it on. When I put the bike up on the center stand, the bike went up and sat down on the back tire. Now the previous H2's I had that had center stands it kept the back tire off the ground so you could work on the wheels, chain, etc... So I've seen pictures online of both ways, some bikes with the tire touching, some with the tire in the air. Were there 2 different stands for the 72, is something bent or out of line, or possibly the ones I had before were modified in some way? Any info is helpful Thanks |

I believe the low stance is usually indicative of worn stand or frame stops where the two come into contact, unless the stand itself is bent, or the mounting holes elongated due to wear. I used to have a 72 H1b with the same issue - rear tire almost touching the ground, but never looked too closely to see the actual cause(s). |
