Hello all, just after views on fitting sportier bars to my H1A.
I'm a keen racing Road cyclists, so not worried about the weight on my wrists, I'm aware of the risk to the tank, turning circle,(barge like) and cable lengths.

But any other views, experiences, photos, suggested products would be lovely.

I've had a drag bar on my H2 for decades. It doesn't take any special parts and nothing hits the tank with the original steering stops, so I still have the nice tight turning radius that H2s come with. Of course it takes advantage of the original rubber bar mounts. It's just under 28" end to end. Some are narrower and may not work so well.

I've ridden a bicycle regularly all my life too. I guess it probably is part of the reason I have no problem with low bars. But I like to set things up so when I'm at highway speed my forward lean balances the force of the wind pushing on me, and drag bars do that pretty well.

If you fit clip ons, you might have to alter the steering stop to prevent tank contact. Not hard to fix though.

What Jim said, best and easiest option, they were a an option on Triples, at least the early H1 and H2, and at least in Europe and Australia.

Go ACE (clubmans) or superbike bars.

These work for me with rearsets; not as comfortable as drag bars but not bad. It does feel a bit like the proverbial Monkey/Football thing though....

on earlies H1 no troubles with the tank with clips on but ace bar would be more comfortable cauz less vibrations.
On later H1 clips on are an other story: controls hit the tank.

Think I'll have a play with ace/clubman bars. I like the racer position.
