I generally ride responsibly when there are other people around, but when I'm alone on backroads... "Professional rider on closed course. Do not attempt at home."

I remember when we ran the AFM races at Sear's Point years ago, there was one guy that ran some sort of large engine dirt bike, with slicks on it, but it still had the 12 or so inches of suspension travel. We all had standing bets on just when and where he'd biff it in from the suspension causing the front wheel to lose traction. It was quite exciting to see him blitz it through the 180 degree turn at the pits, with that front wheel a LONG way out there.

Funny thing is, he never got off the thing, never fell, and he usually won, but, that front wheel was WAY, WAY out there in the breeze. Nobody ever won the bet.

I think it might have been a KX500, one of the first liquid cooled ones.

On a stretch of Rt9 a couple weeks ago I saw 110 (speedometer is 5mph fast at 80) and 7300 on the tach, does that count? The bike was still wanting to pull.

I was scolded terribly by the wife. :silent:

My neighbors seemed real impressed with the jolly's (minus silencers) on my gamma. My neighbors hate me, I get the usual threats from the guy next door, only reason he doesnt call the cops is because he is worried I wont invite him on the boat for fishing. A normal person would keep it quiet, but 2 strokes dont like to go slow, you cant leave the the driveway under 10,000 rpm. If you have an H2 and your neighbors like you, you are doing something wrong.

And how did she know? I sure don't come home and tell anyone about going 100+ when I do it.
