I'm in the process of tying the ribbons on an H2 purchase in WV, with 19K and still on most of its original parts. The seller has and is including the original air box and handlebars and is also offering a set of chambers to go with it. He says they are original Paul Gasts which he had on for one summer only. I don't know anything about these and need your help identifying and advice on how they run. Am also including some pictures of the H2.

Those look very similar to some FBG chambers I have. I never ran the stingers, but the street FBGs I had were good pipes- loved to rev!

Thanks for the reply! The seller says they are in really great shape, low time and no dents. I'll ask him why he ran them for only one summer. Would these make a 72 which already has a peaky narrow power band even more so? I'm guessing they will require careful jetting so you don't accidentally seize the engine?

Those stingers will definitely need richer jetting!

I'm surprised he lasted a year. Stingers are annoying loud......

OK, thanks! Now we're getting down to it. Probably why they've been hanging on the wall ever since. How much can you pick an H2 up with them or do you need larger carburetors also to make them work?

Maybe earplugs help?

They'll add a noticeable about to the top end. You probably wouldn't notice much loss in the bottom/mid

The problem is buying enough of them to give out to everyone else on the road, walking down the sidewalk, etc..

Oh, OK... a while back someone posted on here about a lady who lived on up his street a ways. Said whenever he started up and took off on his H2 that lady would come out with a broom and be ready and waiting for him to ride by. Stingers probably.

You can add silencers to them, no worries.
