hi everyone..............absolutely new here, and asking for some direction.

i bought two triples recently, and am wondering where/what to do with them. one is a 1969 h1 500cc triple, and the other is a 1973 350 s2 triple. they have been in a shed for almost 40 years and are in really good shape for their age. the thing that impressed me the most is that they appear to be complete and not butchered, the way most of the bikes i find are. both engines turn over with the kickstarter, but i have not taken any time at all to determine any more than that.

where do you guys list stuff like this that is for sale?

where would i go to get a realistic value on these two machines?

any help from someone knowledgeable in triples would certainly be appreciated.

regards,

i haven't taken any pics of them yet, and don't know how to post them, so guess i've got some things to do before i can show them to you.

i'll revisit this post as soon as i can take some pics......maybe i could email them to you when i take them?

regards,

You can upload reasonably sized photos directly to your posts.

You could always list them on eBay (with a reserve if you prefer) and let the bidders decide how much they're worth. This will at least give you an idea of what some are willing to pay.

Lots of knowledgeable people here, and, you might post frame and engine numbers for both bikes, conditions of each, that would help.

You may also want to post here, as you are in the Great White North

http://triplescanada.proboards.com/

There are forum members not too far (by Alberta measure) from you.
They may be able to also help you with values and potential buyers.
eBay as suggested usually brings a fair market value.

thank you for the info. i didn't know there was a triples place up here.....i'll get the ser. no.'s and some pics when i get a minute.

i've mostly been interested in old hondas, so this might be interesting. they look like nice old bikes, and as i previously mentioned, impressed me because they haven't been cannabalized (sp?)

If ya want to text cell phone pics I might be able to help, I'm 50/50 on posting pics from my phone to photobucket to the web. ebay might be the best place for both bikes, the 69 H1 would probly do well hard to guess a number but it could go high. The 69 H1 is first H1 and probly the the most collectable , the S3 not so high , my runner S3A on a good day might bring 2,500.

sometimes i surprise even myself............yesterday i took them off my utility trailer and pushed them into the quonset for storage; and a mile down the road realized i'd forgotten to take the pics i said i'd take! getting old is a bi**ch.

if i get time, i'll role them out today and get the pics i said i would.
