Alright, So I Finally caved and sold my buddy my Drag bike H2 750 I had So he could put the engine into a 73 H1 I sold him not long ago.
We were worried it might need race gas or somthing but not sure. I havent had a chance to go through it and see what all it had done to it....compression seems REAL strong though. I cant even kick it without boots.....

any suggestions? good starting point?

150-155 cranking compression is about all gas will handle. so find out what you have.

I guess I should have been a little more specific. So before this gets too far off topic:

I know what is needed to make a bike street legal and I have all lights, electronic components, suspension components, ect in order to make the bike look, ride, and function on the road in good working order.

What I was mainly asking about was internal engine components. What usually gets done to the drag bikes that might cause it to loose drive ability/ reliability and cause heart ache during the process of tuning and making this a runner.

Trans, fuel, high compression ect.

Check if you have an oil pump, some opt to pre-mix. Im in favor of having one for the street.

You might have to reduce compression. Most mods are to make things stronger, so not a bad thing. It "might" be ported too hard for the street and be a dog at lower RPM. You will just have to try it and see.

Thx moo and everyone else that posted. I will check compression, run it a bit if it checks out ok and go from there. hopefully its not to radical for street riding.
