Hot water then swab with an oil patch and you are good to go. The fake black powders that are out there shoot nice and don't leave as much stuff behind. Lyman makes a nice gun. I wash out my pistol barrel in the sink. The rifle gets the tub! Make sure you clean behind the lock plate too. They tend to corrode there as well. Just take it all the way down every time and you are good.

Ordered off eBay recently https://www.ebay.com/itm/283322797262. It filled my modern sport-tourer tubeless tire well-over 36psi (lost a couple when removing hose off valve) in approximately 3 minutes. IMO not too shabby for a very compact (I think made in China...?) mini-pump.

Autogage NOT included, but it DOES come with a cheapo mini-pen style gauge.

Very nice, Darren... small enough to carry with you on rides. If you're running tubeless you can carry a plug kit too.

 Good idea Jim  - I'll have to look for a good (and cheap) kit.

Thanks for that link Darren. I need to get one to carry on trips with me.

I remember the first versions of those tire pumps, it was a simple long hose that screwed into a spark plug hole on one end, and tire valve on the other. You then started the engine, and filled the tire with air/fuel mixture.

Of course, if you were riding a single cylinder bike, you could crank until you went completely silly, or, had a full on heart attack. It was a lot more fun in those olden days.

I did just that a few times on dirt bikes.

15 years young and heart attack was not in my vocabulary.

Thanx

Hello everyone, this is my first post here. My latest purchase is an H1F.
About me, I live in Timmins Ontario Canada, I've driven bikes for 40+ years. My current ride is a 2015 Kawasaki Vulcan S 650.
I've restored a couple early 70's Porsche's and this winter decide to tackle a mid 70's motorcycle. My first choice was a KZ but couldn't find one but I did find my second choice locally (H1F) so I picked it up.
I will have questions as i go and look forward to becoming a member of this group.

Hello Tracks... welcome to the board. A 1975 H1... not a bad choice at all!

Just bought this z900rs to keep the old triple company. My wife said no more bikes. You're too old and it's dangerous out there. So I bought 2 and she's still here. Had to get her a new car though. Cheaper than a divorce. :D
