Well, the ZZR 12 stock bar location was just where it was uncomfortable. I got super lucky and Lane had a set of HELI bar converters brand new that he couldn't use on his Concurs he had. Just some fiddling around and I have superbike bars now!!!!!

I bought the bike from a gentleman in Oregon who was the second owner and I think he mentioned he owned it 32 years. Bike last plated in 05. It was listed in the for sale section on the KZRider forum which I troll. He was an honest seller and told me about the flaws and we made a deal. The bike is pretty darn nice. For some odd reason he sold it to me for less then what someone else offered. He commuted back and forth to work with and toured The PNW and Canada on it ! It had one of those cruise controls mounted to the throttle !

Last weekend I tinkered with it a little bit
1. Picked up some metal rescue and cleaned the petro tank. That stuff works pretty darn good tank looks new inside.
2. Remove carb, it was spotless inside and I installed a new plunger.
3. Remove wastegate inspect. Ball bearings were froze , clean, make new gasket reinstall
4. Rear brake pedal slightly froze, again remove clean grease
5. Flush out old brake fluid with new, Front M/C needs new diaphragm, ordered new one. Yikes expensive item
6. Install new battery
7. Hook up aux. gas tank
8. twist throttle several times.
9. Turn key hit start button and BAM ! fired right up.

The engine sounds fantastic, no noise and so far with just some good warm ups no smoke. PO had it running rich, maybe different climate. I leaned out the carb a little and I'm pretty sure it's ready test ride. I currently have all the boost pulled out, I'll give it a turn at a time get it to 4-6 lbs. I'll have to put some new tires on before I wind er up

Maybe tomorrow I ride it !

This is when I picked it up at the shipping terminal

The PO had a remote alarm, cigarette lighter and non working rev limiter mounted under the seat. All that crap was removed and thankfully he never cut or butchered the wire loom

A friend bought one new (I actually talked him into it....lol) and the carb sucked, as he was always having to adjust it with any altitude change.
