Got this up and running last night and made some welds tonight, played with the machine for about 2 hrs tonight.
Don't judge to harshly these are the first TIG welds I ever made :? I tried a few types of welds and different amperages on some 1/8" and 3/16" steel and then tried to weld some 20 ga steel with no filler and with filler, interesting but not quite there yet, Too hot, Too cold, no control over the foot peddle, not able to feed the filler rod steadily
I never welded anything until just over a year ago when I got a Millermatic 200 Mig welder, played with that machine enough to know I enjoy screwing around sticking pieces of metal together with globs of other metal so I figured why not try Tig.
I know the big debates over the Chinese welders but it does a lot of stuff for the money, comes with a 5 yr warranty and I dont make money welding so if it goes down I can wait for parts or whatever. They get good reviews for the most part.
I have a lot to learn yet, big fun for me.

Barry if you like to weld GET ONE!
WOW…the control is nothing less than amazing, very neat, burned up a lot of gas this weekend but I am getting better already.
Still not the best welds but much improvement. The ability to manipulate the arc and just nip a corner together or a nice tight fit joint ..astounding!
(thats a metal frame my wife asked me to weld)

Not really a purchase since they were free... but I got these military technical order cabinets with glass doors, an industrial air hose reel, a nice Tractor Supply tool box with some tools and a bunch of hardware and two filing cabinets from a guy who works for a realtor. He was cleaning out a garage at a place they bought and my partner loaded all of them up and delivered them.to me this morning...

I took a few minutes and cleaned one set up. Then I put all my bike, car and truck service manuals inside...
I have plenty of room for all my tractor and farm equipment books too.

At first I though you were going to say you got a 5-story blast cabinet.

I love old, sturdy office and shop stuff like that.
