A guy on the Moto Guzzi board posted some interesting photos of his Crane riding jeans that he thought had reinforcements of aramid (generic Kevlar) cloth. He was wondering why the reinforced lining was developing holes. Remember the episode of Cheers when Norm was talking about the Hungry Heifer? Jim, is this particular brand supposed to be made in a certain country? Or does the back-side of that label instead read MADE IN CHINA or INDONESIA, etc., and therefore a counterfeit? |

The crane label in the U.K. is sold by the Aldi supermarket chain, and not everything Aldi sells is quality

A lot of items are either imitated or they play the "that's pretty close" on the name game. Here's the electrical switch on my bench top milling machine. A quick look and you'd think it was "Cutler Hammer". But I guess they skirted the trademark issue by printing it Cutler Hammar |
