Hi.

Some weeks ago, I have scanned my H2B and S1B / S3 Assembly manuals.
Two days ago, I scan H1A and H2A manuals.
I have sent them to Dale for the Resource page.
If interested, you can download them here :

Best regards from Reunion.

Yes, thanks to both you and Dale. Those assembly manuals are "neat" and fun to look through!

Hello Darrin,

I just downloaded it and going to read it on my way from SJC to TPA today.

Going to visit family for the weekend in Florida.

It always interesting to ready these old manuals.

A big thanks to the guys that make this stuff available to the rest of us.

Imagine finding an old abandoned building that used to be a Kawasaki Dealers shop, only to find hidden away dozen or more of unassembled H2's and H1's, still in the crate.

Only one person has one still in the crate...............and we all know who that is..............an H2B............in Cedar, MI.

It's an amazing collection and I had the opportunity to go there last summer. So glad I made it there at least once in my life.

Ed

Is very interesting to read, thank you. Amazing amount of work went in to prep one for sale at the dealership, I had no idea. Can't figure out why the factory would not set things like spark timing, chain tension, carb synch (as poorly as they tell you to do that...) etc. Guess it saved money at the factory so they could churn more of them out, and dumped that labour expense on the dealers themselves. Some odd things to do on a never fuelled bike, remove and clean out the fuel petcock bowl. Strange.

During certain times of the year when the racing was closed down, we taught service schools for dealer mechanics. We got right down to things like pulling the carbs and setting float levels n the carbs, timing, oil pump settings, and everything else in new bike setup. Not everyting was set correctly from the factory, they didn't go through taking the float bowls off and getting the floats right, they relied on, erroneously, vendors like Mikuni to get them right, and, they didn't.

Only ONE brand new, still in the crate H2 in the world, very unlikely from where I am sitting right now.

Well...NO. I don't know how to post pictures, and even though John has made the process simple, I still have no clue, and I don't feel the need to justify to anyone what I have. I've only been collecting cars and bikes for a short time, since 1971. Take that as you will, no sweat off me.
