I could tolerate the looks of the 14 if it absolutely decimates the Hayabugly in performance, but I have a feeling that it won't be that much of a difference. Kawasaki dropped the ball back in 2000 by detuning the ZX12R and they have been repeatedly dropping it ever since.

If the muffler were a lot bigger it would look perfect. (I have no interest in any vehicle that makes me work to gain access to a spark plug.)

I don't know what you guys are talking about....these are the same styles thats been out there for the past ten years.

BTW....there are more nekked or near-nekked bikes out there...AREO5 mentioned the Suzuki 650. But there's the Triumph Street Triple, Kawasaki Versys and Z1000, Suzuki V-Strom, the Yamaha FZ1 & FZ8, Honda CBR1000R. Hell....I have a nekked BMW R12R !! And these are not to mention the many other dual sport bikes out there !!!

I get the 14 but most of the new bikes look too thick through the middle to suit me, Kawasakis and most of the other brands, the 650 has looked too thick vertically to me all along. Kawasaki has made some great looking bikes, and some ugly ones.
Yamaha generally makes a good looking bike, but as I understand it they have a design firm do their styling.
Again Kawasaki has made some good looking bikes recently, but the new look of thick vertically and no tail, I don't like it.
One of the best looking bikes in recent years;
