Funny, just last night I was thinking about comments I've heard about our triples, like "your valve guides need work" and "your rings are shot".

JP, you should have told him his engine was low on oil, because it wasn't smoking out the exhaust, the way it should have been.

We had some very nice compliments for Honda's way back when, here are a couple,

HONDA, Heavy, Obsolete, No Dam-ned Acceleration

HONDA, Hop On Nothin', Dumb Ar-se (As-s)

It gets a LOT worse from here, folks.

If you get that again, just tell him you thought you would try running diesel, and it works great, just a bit of smoke. And he should try it!

John it's an idea but not sure seeing him again, when the traffic light went green I started quietly with a cold engine and outperfoormed the poor Hondu :!:

Dave we think in Europe that Honda Four was an homogeneous bike:
No ground clearance
Unsteady
No brake
Unreliable
Unperformed (excepted the very earlies calling K0 in continental Europe which arrived still after a mach III on a 1/4 mile)

When I worked at R.C. Engineering eons ago, the first time I ride my very modified H2-R clone engine'd street H2 to work, they all wondered what the heck that thing was. Some, obviously very ignorant people, didn't think it was so very much, until lunch, when an impromptu drag race ensued on the private street in front of the shop.

Of the 12 runs I made against a number of both Honda's and Kawasaki fours, the ONLY one that beat me, by half a bike length, was a very modded Z1, out to 1198 cc's, and supercharged (YES, we built blower bikes for the street).

I was in charge of the engine building and modification departments then, and worked on both drag bikes, the "Sorcerer" double, and, the then new rear engine'd, code name "Blow-Job". Nobody that worked there ever challenged me again to a drag race.

I like John's idea of the "Diesel" info.

I don't get many of the bad valve or ring comments but often get the "100MPH wheelie" BS. I don't say anything as usually that guy is in a group of others and I don't want to embarrass him. Just Sayin.
