I'm looking at going to an 18" front wheel/tire assembly on my 77' KZ1000A. I've looked at an 18" front fender from a S3 or KH400. From what measurements I was able to get, it appears that it would fit my forks just fine. I also looked at a 19" front fender from a 500 triple ( I can't remember the year, I believe a 75'). It looks like the S3 fender and if that's the case, that would probably work too ?

Are these 2 fenders from the above triples the same ? And does the 18" fender have a tighter radius than the 19" ?

Able to Post that ugly picture ? I'm wondering if a person could re-drill the fork mounting holes on the fender to seat it closer to the tire ?

The problem isn't how close it is to the tire... its the difference in the radius of the fender when it is against the radius of the tire.
If you exaggerate the difference.... think of fitting a 20" fender on a 10" tire.
Can you do it... YES
Will it look right... NO!
