Lets all keep the best of thoughts and hopes for all our friends in areas of Texas adversely affected by Hurricane Harvey. There has already been massive damage, and the weather people say it isn't near over yet. Sustained winds to 70 mph, gusts to 90 mph, eye diameter, 12 miles.

Just on the news, Hurricane Harvey now downgraded to "tropical storm". Still, very serious situations.

Just had a brief IM chat with Mark (2strokebrit). Mark and Wendy are safe but he says the water is about 15 feet away and houses on both sides of them are flooded - with more to come.

Mark my friend, I speak for me and I'm sure everyone here if there's anything you need or anything we can do please let us know.
You know I mean that.

Thanks for all the good wishes .
although it kept raining ,it never got any closer to the house.
so only had a small leak in the attic .
we were lucky for sure.
all gone now ,rode to work this am and you wouldn't know Harvey had visited apart from a few downed trees.
i am on the north west side of town ,i think the south east got it the worst.

thanks again mark.

Glad to hear you and yours are OK, you and family stay safe, sir.

Weather people say yet another 'tropical depression' is forming in the Gulf, will more than likely become another hurricane.
