I have PLA inlet adapters pressed onto the mouths of TM38 carbs on my XV750, and those have fuel standoff on them always, has not been a problem for over a year now. I'm not talking exact reproduction parts, but parts to keep bikes running when there are literally no replacements left.

If I couldn't get a part like the H1A distributor cap, and there will be a day when they are no longer available, I would draw it in CAD and 3D print it, just a thought.

I have been told about 3D but no one has come up with anything. I have an old and NFG cap that I would send you. Or you, Zambia

I could draw and print it if I had the cap, yes. Would have to figure out what the metal internals need to be, and what to use for those. Possibly some brass rod stock, cut and silver soldered at 90 degrees, soldered to a brass tube. Been so long since I saw an H1/A cap.

Haven't been active here for ages so I haven't followed any discussions about the Powerdynamo kit, so I don't know which issues people have had with it other than erratic running at 6K rpm, but my H1A runs perfect with it. I had the same thing at 6K put regapped the plugs to 0,4mm and since there has been no issue. No plug fouling or anything. I can rev to the redline and beyond.

Got the outside of the H1A cap drawn. Will now model the internals and then remove them from the solid.

I found carbon or graphite rod stock at McMaster, so got that, hopefully I can machine it into the center spring loaded button for this cap, if it won't turn using carbide tools then I can probably grind it.

You can turn it using carbide is it's a high positive rake to the cutting edge ( like what you would use for aluminum ). I've turned carbon rod before and it is quite messy.

"Capt Obvious" would like to remind you not to breathe any dust ( I'd rather sound like a "know it all nag" than have you end up with lung problems from the dust )

graphite or carbon is nasty stuff in powder form.
i remember an older machinist that used to poo poo the safety stuff, masks and the like.
we used a pic of him with a mask on the top of his head smoking a cigarette while turning EDM electrodes for the "how not to do it" pic.
he is dead now (lung cancer) might of just been the "fags" but why chance it.
just FYI.
