 Post subject: Copper side covers

Picked what I think are 72 H2 side covers. There made of copper. I scratched some paint off my original blue 72 covers,tin not copper. Whats the story ??

nah, just copper plated if anything.


someone would have to be insane to go to the lengths of reproducing those in that amount of detail in anything other than steel.

Hmmm,
Wonder what it would cost to plate side covers, tail, and tank with copper (or nickel).
Only seen the chopper guys go that far for a 1-off

Dont they also use copper as well as nickel for a base for chroming?
Maybe they were a work in progress.

he realized that chrome dont get you home, so it has since been brought back to standard colors
