Mraxl made a nice tutorial that tells how to post photos directly from your computer to here:

FLICK that noise and photobucket as well.

If I need to post pictures I use my own domain.
Its a lot less per year to have a domain and store anything you want there.
Free email accounts with your domain extension.
ie. yourname@chowderheadtriplelover.com
Front Page and other extensions work fine for creating web pages or even a website of sorts.
Ask me if you are interested, I have no interest in referring anyone to my host.
If some one was interested I can point them in the right direction, thats all.

Same here Steve - I use boulier.com not only for web pages but a huge repository of pictures... I use a commercial host but folks can get Godaddy with 100GB storage for $3.99/mo. That's a LOT of pictures!

So if I get a domain from some company like GoDaddy, that includes a certain amount of storage?

Thanks
Jeff

If you get a web site hosting plan with the domain name, since web sites need storage for photos, the HTML code, etc.. I suspect the smallest web hosting plan has plenty of storage for guys like us.

Jeff, you can upload photos to this forum and many others directly, no need for a photo host.

It's time for a website as in addition to triple parts and services, I also make cub cadet parts.

I got a domain thru HostMonster and now will be trying to build a website and have storage for my pictures.

Anyone tried this? I just came across it, and know nothing about it yet.

https://fixphotobucket.com/

edit: It appears that you still have to individually replace your hijacked photos with the new URLs.

There has been a lot of comment on several message boards about Photobucket ripoff.
I have found a FREE photo hosting site that is similar to Photobucket without the hassle.
It is PictureTrail.... http://www.picturetrail.com/
The only hitch is 50MB free storage. If you resize photos prior to upload that still means a lot of pics.
(no reason why multiple accounts can't be set up)
It is pretty easy to learn & use.
It provides image links for message boards and resizes automatically per default setting.

Here is another site that is simple to use with no limits: https://postimages.org/

There are numerous free sites for hosting & sharing photo albums, Flickr, Google Photos, Dropbox, etc. but not so convenient for posting individual photos.
