If you read their site's information, you can link photos like we've been doing for $100/year, but that's still really crummy of them. They get us to store and link a bunch of photos, and then essentially hold the links ransom. I tested Google Photo and it works OK, but you have to know how to get the photo URL and put it in a post.

The best solution is to let the board host the photos, using the upload feature. Then we're not dependent on an outside site, which can always disappear at some unknown time.

How does one access the boards upload feature?

When submitting a post there is an area that allows you to upload images.
Fairly self explanatory Id say....

You won't see me there, but I understand that you can use FB to host photos like Photobucket.

Yeah, Jim, F.B. is a lot simpler to use to link , etc. and there are about 2,000 guys from Norway, U.K. etc. providing a few laughs. There is a lot of crap on F.B. (and Twitter), but there is a lot of good stuff too.

Right click on your image file and select "open with" and then "PAINT".
You can resize it there and save it back to the same folder with a new name.
See acceptable sizes in the error message window you got.
