[img][/img]Just wanted to say hi from Texas and introduce myself. Dave Boyd, 57 years old. Getting back into drag racing after a 30 year absence. I have a red1972 H2 750 that has been sitting in my garage for thirty years and I just picked up a blue 1972 H2 750 from an estate sale a few months back. The blue one has now gone 6.48 @ 102.xx in the 1/8th mile on my 6th pass. Getting better. Looking for 5's. The red bike is a proven 9.23 second 1/4 mile bike. Should be ready in about a month. Getting a new swingarm and tail section. [img]ImageImage[/img]Image

I'm constantly amazed by how many "old" H2 drag bikes keep resurfacing, I'd be surprised if back in the day, there were more than 5 full blown H2 drag bikes - theres at least 5times that number now - GREAT Looking Bike!(s)

Thanks. The red one belonged to a friend of mine in Houston I used to race IDBA with. It was a national record holder in IDBA in CC Modified at 9.23 @ 128mph. When he passed away his mother sold it to me for $1500.00. It has sat in my garage for thirty years. I brought to a friend of mine for a new swing arm, bars and a few other things and he found the blue one in Ohio. I made a deal and drove from Texas to Ohio and picked it up for $6000.00. It had sat for over 20 years.

Welcome to the board, good to have a fellow dragracer join. I had an H2 dragbike much like your 72. Had a front end Kozman wheels backbone tank with stage 3 FBG porting with 40mm Lectrons and outer bearing support. The bike had gone 5.68 but typically ran 70's-80's. I go to a couple of Mancup races a year, look forward to meeting you.

I'm looking for a lightweight 18" front wheel for the blue bike and maybe a rear so I can get rid of the drum brake.

I bet you know Bill Baxter. He lives just down the road from me. Met him online, then at a local dragstrip. He was in Memphis this weekend. Any line on some wheels?
