I'm thinking about puting a stock air inlet on my custom. Does anyone know how far back the inlet sits from the carbs when installed? Here's a pic of the dimension I am looking for Attachment: intake inlet.JPG

Glad you got it, Jason. I've never had one of those. |

If your making intake changes get Jim to make you a set of his UFO's ...maybe I am easily impressed or just dont know how to jet regular like, but they made a good difference on mine, and now that all sizes and cutaways are available and not to terribly expensive its another jetting/change option. |

The answer is way too small if you're going 3 into 1 and looking for performance |

Jim I'm mostly looking to improve ridability. The bike is fun to ride when on or off throttle, but it's frustrating trying to hold low speeds with lower rpm (2000 to 3000). Also get a lot of surging on decel with minimum or no throttle |
