Hate to be the bearer of bad tidings, but Electric will obsolete these crude I.C. devices in the not so distant future........ :(

Likely since they come from China.

Not really looking for an "argument" on this, but there is a certain inevitability about the future, like who still has a land-line phone for 1 example..........

I'm not looking for an argument either. I'm just saying that if you want to evaluate emmisions, maybe a vehicle should be measured by ALL the emissions to build it from raw materials and maintain it for 10 years.
Maybe a Tesla and my Ford Focus would be similar based on that, not sure but I bet it isn't cut and dry as they would like you to think. Hard to say but there is no such thing as a zero emmisions car IMO.

Agree with some of that, but the masses will go for the Electric vehicles, most people want to just go from a to b, and the Electric car will soon be cheaper to build. And battery technology is advancing rapidly. Emissions in particular won't be a big part of it, well, no more than they are already........ Me, I'll just keep the old H2!!
