I have finally gotten around to addressing my tatty old loom on the H1A. I bought a replacement loom from Doremi a couple of years ago and this weekend (eventually  ), pulled it from the packet to begin the job. However, it doesn't look exactly the same as the one that is in situ. The colours of some wires used on the repro one are different (to my existing harness and the wiring diagram in the manual) and there are extra wires in some parts. It does have the two wires with no ends on them that I gather are for the CDI - so, I'm guessing it is meant for the bike.

Could someone with more electrical knowledge than me have a look at the pics below and let me know if this correct for the H1A or if I have been given the wrong one? I don't really want to start pulling the old one out until I'm sure I have an appropriate replacement. Shouldn't they be pretty much a plug and play item?

Thanks heaps

I would hazard a guess it's a generic loom to cover all models, the H2 aftermarket loom is the same.

I meant the H2 loom is the same for all H2 models, not the same as the H1.

The make one loom to cover all H1s

yes but on the same way earlies H1 looms are also rather differents from later H1.
If you add the fact points earlies H1 et CDI earlies H1 loooms are also different it'sn't easy to know for which H1 model the wiring loom above is made.
