I'll be there all day Friday. Dropping off an H2 in town and then will ride my ZRX to Barber. I'll wear a triples anniversary T-shirt. :)

Now that John A reset my account so that I can log with my IPhone I can report I'm at Birmingham. Hope to see some of you here. There are a number of vintage bmw's at the motel I'm in. I don't think they have ever been washed.

Hey John, which hotel?
I'm sending my two nephews on Friday.
I still have 4 more tickets for Friday, if you need them.
Let me know if you need them.
Have extra for Sunday too.
I'm planning to be there on Saturday, hope to see you there.

What a great place Barber Motorsports is! And with 600 bikes entered it is thé biggest Mega event for vintage bikes. Being on the track with Jay Springsteen, Alan Cathcart and Kevin Schwantz is not a every day experience.
Dave (H2Racer) brought 7 bikes to race: CB160 + A1R250 for Lorraine, TZ750, H1R, Z1R and Bighorn for himself and the H2R for me. Lorraine had a sort of a black cloud over her this weekend. The CB motor failed while in 3rd. After a spare motor was fitted a stupid guy jumped in front of her in the hot pit area, While she was OK, the shift lever broke… end of race.
Dave met with some serious competition and had multiple, most enjoyable, yet tiring battles.
Me, I could not come to grips with this tricky track. Laptimes remained erratic from session to session. Speed of the H2R was however impressive, embarrassing realy for other riders, comfirming the reputation of the Triples..
Met up with Mark (anotherusername) who offered me to ride the KH750 Cody (Scrambler) built a few years ago. It was a pleasure. The low weight is immediately noticed even when standing still and moving the bike from left to right. Reved through the gears upto 8K in fourth. Even then no wobble, weave or lack of control. This is even more surprising with the imbalance in suspension front/rear I experienced. Thanks for giving me the opportunity to ride this special Mark!
Several triple enthusiast dropped by during the weekend. It made a great weekend fantastic!
Thanks Dave, for making it possible for me to be a part of this great event.
Will catch a flight home tomorrow and post pictures later.

Wish I could have made it! :eh: I bet that track is a blast.

How did you like the motor in Marks bike?

And can't wait for pics!

Safe trip!
