I'm looking at sets of triple clamps on E-bay for a future H2C build. They are running about $100. 1973-1975 H1 triple clamps sell for about half that. Fork tube diameters are the same, can I use H1 clamps on an H2? The main visible difference I see is the brake light switch setup.

Thanks for the info. This future build will be an assembly of parts, it's not an original bike anyways so who cares?

FYI, the H1B front end is the same as the H2/H2A, fork tubes, inner and outer, disc and caliper, wheel and triple clamps and front mud guard, from memory.

You're right about that but I have no plans to sell. Got a good deal from a forum member for a frame with title now I gotta figure out what to do with it. Eventually when I sell it will likely be to a Hawaii resident and maybe less concerned with originality since there are few triples in Hawaii.

Yep I might buy them. I saw another set labeled H1 that look like H2 and they're less expensive. It may take years until I build the bike, I'm not in a big hurry.
