Many bikes used the EX500 caliper, some with dual disks.

Each??
Stainless ???

Wish I'd known that a couple of months ago before I printed out the drawing, laid it out on steel, and made my own.
And yours look much better than mine.
Send me 2 please.

Thanks Craig, I really do it to help the guys on the board more than anything else. This link tells how to order them:

Cody had a stock rotor thinned with slots cut out for me.
It was done on a very large lathe.
It’s good but not perfect (run out).
Might want to try having it ground on a big machine like a flywheel.

Thickness variation is the killer. Even one thousandth of an inch variation in thickness can be felt as pulsing. Side to side wobble, although important, is much less critical, because the floating caliper can track it to some extent.

To thin one in a lathe, both sides should be done without changing the setup. This is how car rotors are done. If you have to cut one side and turn it over to do the other side, it will take some real finesse to get the thickness to be on the money. If I wanted to thin mine, I'd probably send it to someone with a surface grinder made for the job.

definitely get it blanchard ground if possible. lathe cutting is 'ok' but bike rotors are very hard compared to most automotive ones.

It is amazing how hard they are.
A file doesn’t even scratch the edge.

I did mine with a carbide cutter on a lathe, but it took a long time and light cuts.

oh, not saing it cant be done BUT if you are going to pay to get it done: surface grinding IS the best method, hands down..

I would say you would have to get price quotes, we all know shops vary greatly between each other.
