Hi All . i seem to remember a transmission thread that mentioned the special tool/pliers that fit the OEM clips.
if any one can point me in the right direction that would be great.

I think a lot of guys do like I did, with snap ring pliers so cheap now, just find the tip set that looks the best and grind to fit.

Mark, I was tired of not having the right angle or the right size or an inner or an outer,,, so I bought a kit like this on ebay - covers the whole shebang. around $40 with shipping.

Photobucket seems to be down so I can't show you a pic of mine but Google duck bill snap ring pliers.
I used a cutoff wheel in my dremel to grind the Vee's. They work very well. Although I still use needle nose pliers on the far side to keep the clip from skewing.
