Special thanks to Joe Byrd for the idea for carb inlet extenders and Cody for fab suggestions; finished prototypes on Thursday just in time for 5 days of rain :(

My Hammer Head shocks are about 13" long and I find myself on the front edge of the seat during spirited riding on the twisties. Aside from being just an average rider, the weight bias seems too light on the front wheel (with stock wheel diameter). Search of sites shows that most of you guys like a 14" eyelet to eyelet.

Any easy way to make an extender to feel the difference with the same shock?

I had considered this (assuming you mean at the bottom of the shock) but thought that this extender would want to turn and not stay parallel with the shock as the entire unit is at an angle and riding would make it pivot.
Being wrong would be great news on this one.

I have used them for years now, as it's hard to find shocks 15 3/4 to 16" long.

Just make sure the plates bottom against the shock body and the bolt holding them is really, really tight.

I'll give it a try.
What length do you recommend for an H2 on the street?

That depends on how far down your swinger will go without interference. I would suggest 1 3/4 to 2". Remember that the chain with have more slack. Make sure it hase the right adjustment before, and don't readjust afterward.
