Any reports on the Reproduction decals rings and pistons?

Kawasaki dealership salesman, when I considered trading my S3 400 for a used GPz 750 in 1992.

It may not be as easy as you think... I tried (just for a laugh) to fit an original ring into the top groove of a Cr.Im. piston and it would not fit. The Kawi ring was too thick for the C.I. groove. I have e-mailed the seller and asked about buying extra rings and was told that his supply had run out - at least until next year. Looks like it will cost me $100+ for a complete set of pistons, pins, clips and rings because of my boneheaded twist of the barrel while reinstalling....

Still..., I'm lucky someone's able to help me out, given the paucity of spares. I can't wait to feel this baby pull the way she should

i bought a set of .5mm rings and they wouldnt fit my .5mm pistons.

If the same thing happens to me, I guess the only option will be Reproduction Decals (although the previously mentioned thread mentions that their pistons also imply lower compression ratios) at around $350 a set. Gracious! Doesn't anyone from Wiseco frequent this forum??

It's almost enough to make me sell the rest of the bike for parts and buy a T500 instead
