Pictures below are of the final prototypes of a new rearset kit for the B/C model H2s. I designed this kit for use with chambers or stock exhaust. You can also use the passenger footpegs if desired (we will supply a thin nut to allow them to be used with most chambers). The frame mount plates of the finished version will be anodized black and all edges will be radiused. Folding footpeg allows easy starting with no interference with the kickstarter. Connecting rod for the shifter is 8mm diameter and uses the Kawi clevis and shift arm.
Set has a wide range of adjustment built in to allow it to adapt to a wide range of setups.

They should be ready to ship in 4-5 weeks as soon as the mounting plates are machined and anodized. Price will be $395. Comments and suggestions are welcome and is one of the reasons I am posting this before we commence production.

I don't have any suggestions for improvement personally - I think they look great as shown, and the anodized black will help these blend in well with the frame. Nice work Jim!

By chance is there also a kit for the late H1/KH500 in the works?

Yes, the H1 is the next kit.

The early H2 frames are more difficult since the frame triangle is different. We will have to use the swingarm bolt and the stock footpeg mount for the mounting plate which means we will have to supply a new swingarm bolt as it will need to be longer to accommodate the mounting plates.

Its going to require more engineering but I'm already working on it.

Try the swingarm bolt from a Z1 or a KZ1000. Same diameter and nut as the H2, but it's longer by about 1/2 inch...maybe a bit longer.

I will have to look at a early frame, but I "think" you maybe able to get away with supporting most of the weight by a tab that rests against the bottom triangle tube, making for a lot thinner swinger mount thickness. And not have to use a longer swinger bolt.
