That was a great weekend. We rode that bike all around their area on Saturday and then raced it on Sunday. It was a quick bike but with a super stiff clutch I kept bogging it off the line, really bad, I was embarrassed but didn't want to hammer Ron's pride and joy.

But on the fourth pass it only bogged a little and then it took off, didn't set the front end down until one of the pistons gave up the ghost.

I felt terrible but Ron had this huge grin on his face, he wanted a nine second time slip so when I wasn't paying attention he slipped a big nitrous jet in the bike and wow did it run. That time slip would have been a lot quicker had it not siezed around 1,000 foot or so, it was still in 4th so it may not have been that far down track. I do know that there was a full blown Kawi turbo with a car tire in the other lane and it went around it like it was sitting still at 300'.

As for the burnout photo, it was taken about one to two minutes into the burnout, you couldn't see the houses down the street for all the smoke.

Very cool; never knew you would even consider sitting on an "upright" framed bike let alone race one
Alot of guys would be proud to run that number 13 years later

My goal in life is to run a 9sec pass on my bike. Best so far is 10.300s at 138.66mph. I have a long way to go...
