Keep the boost as you said or use race fuel, otherwise you will melt pistons.

Beautiful build, is that a Mikuni HSR 42 carb on that thing? How many pounds of boost ? What kind of ignition retard are you using? Sorry about all the questions but I am interested in all the input I can get, I have heard that it is quite easy to get it wrong. |

Yes HSR 42. Boost is currently set at about 10lbs. Ignition is set at 30 degrees. I built it back in the early eighties. When I first put it together it would drive through the clutch, hence the lock up set up which cured the problem. If you have never ridden a turbo bike you are in for one hell of a surprise. Nothing like it when it hits, hang on. Good luck! |

Very nice turbo bike, I have one of those as well. I bought it last year from the original owner. He installed ATP turbo pak in 1978. Late 80's the engine was rebuilt with 1075 MTC turbo 7:8- 1 pistons welded crank etc. With purchase I got every receipt, unused owners manual , unused tool kit etc. The carbon seals were leaking in the turbo unit so it was sent off to mr turbo for rebuild. |

What kind of oil cooler are you using, I like the way the lines straight back over engine instead down and around. Sweet bike !! |
