I purchased the bike in 1977 its a Z1, 1973, box stock with a nice windjammer fairing which was taken off immediately and turned into cash. 1981 it went through the change. I am not a tall person so I put KZ750 front fork tubes which are about 2" shorter and replaced the stock wheels with lester's, 16" on the rear which lowered the bike to a flat foot height along with everything else, too much to mention. Can't remember what brand oil cooler I put on would have to look into the receipts. I set it up to return into the center top of the valve cover above the cam chain. Didn't mean to highjack the thread.

Beautiful build, is that a Mikuni HSR 42 carb on that thing? How many pounds of boost ? What kind of ignition retard are you using? Sorry about all the questions but I am interested in all the input I can get, I have heard that it is quite easy to get it wrong.

PM me with questions. I would be more than happy to share what I have found. :D

Just about done with the carb adapter plate. I will mount the turbo today, then I will be able to run the air and oil lines.

Well the plate is done and mounted to the turbo, and I couldn't resist I finally stuck the bodywork on to see what it looks like. I was not disappointed, very happy with the color, to me this thing looks great in black! Here is a sneak peek.

Wow things got tight and filled up fast, I think I will be able to keep both side covers things are getting a little interesting with the drag pipe, I think I will need to either find another pipe or build one. Here are a couple more pics.
