I have had the dreaded "sit and seep" issue with the H2, when I built the bike I could not figure out how I was going to set the check valves, well the answer was right under my nose.

Here at work we have a little gadget that is a hand pump tied to a pressure gauge terminating in a tapered pipe fitting.

I took another pipe fitting, drilled and tapped it for 6mm and used the banjo bolts to connect the oil lines to the gadget.

Easy, I had one that would blow off at almost no pressure so I set them all (by stretching the springs) Viola'! Life is good.

Yup, that's the way I do it, and outlined the process, some years ago, on the now 'All Spamapalooza All The Time WorldWide' site.

Joe...if I sent you a set of H2 oil lines and a blank check ( ), would you be kind enough to set the check valves pressures?

The denco bike is now at the point where the word "hydrolock" is in the back of my mind when I go to start it.

I have never seen one in the flesh, but if they are connected to the pump with a 6mm banjo bolt and I would be told the blow off pressure, sure. Joe Byrd `

I'm pretty sure the later lines are glued, not screwed, making disassembly virtually impossible............... :?

That would be a show-stopper.

All lines after '73 models are as shown below. They are not designed to be disassembled. However, they can be tested. Any lines tested should be tested for both sealing and blow off pressure.
The late lines can be soaked in a cleaning medium to desolve any crud that may be preventing seal.
From what I have seen from posts on those that have been checked, most early valves have a 2.5-3.0 blow off.
