By the way, I used uShip to find a trucking company, which was AM Home Trucking, and they handled the shipping of this generator to me from Tennessee. Everything went smoothly. It was something like $330, and included a lift gate truck at both ends, and two guys in the truck. The trucking company put the generator on a pallet, wrapped it in a blanket, and stretch wrapped it. I've heard guys on the board say uShip is the way to go, and I have to agree that they made getting a decent price easy. It would have cost me what I paid to have it delivered, for me to drive there and get it myself.

Jackman, we get a fair number of little outages here, but we also get the typical southern ice storms in the winter. One of those can take out power in widespread areas. We've always had backup power with a smaller generator, but I got tired of messing around. I ran this one Tuesday, and with 3 tons of air conditioning, a water heater, well pump, several refrigerators, lights, and computers running, the load meter got as high as about 60%. That was satisfying. If you're in the business, you're probably familiar with this unit... the "10kW" is actually 12.5 continuous and 15 for 20-30 minutes at a time.

No I am not familiar with your unit last winter was so warm instaed of doing my regular job of delivery home heating oil I worked with the propane dept because there was no oil to deliver , most home owners installed 5,000 watt units with small Kohler single cylinder or twin cylinder engines, according to the propane techs propane fuel is the worst for generators because there run time is less than a gas or diesel unit.

one homeowner went all out and bought a huge V-6 Cummins Propane unit and a 14,000 watt gen and three 300 pound propane tanks

Dewalt 3000psi washer via honda motor. Dewalt 18V drill and hammer drill. Big sales at Home Depot. Well the 18v stuff anyway.

Need a power washer, wife is good about working the system - and we do this with Home Depot and others regularly. They'll give you a 20% discount if you open an account with them - and boast zero % interest for a year.

So you accumulate a list of things you want - up to the limit anyway - you buy your items, enjoy the 20% across the board including sale items. There ya go.

We spent almost $1,000 yesterday, saved 200 bucks, got home and and put a payment in Bill Pay to them for the whole amount.

Wow, nice Jeff. Sort of a retro-modern look. Gas is the only way to cook.
