Did someone say furniture?

This is my livingroom. I started buying the mid-century modern furniture after my divorce in 1998 because it was cheap and made my friends laugh. Then I dated a chick for five years that helped me fill in all the small stuff, and the room is now 100% retro. Ever since 'Madmen,' interest in this stuff has been stoopid, but I got in well before that.

Ok, but for jobs, I got fired from dozen, then became a salesman.

1982 to 1997 selling consumer electronics...I sold more camcorders than anyone in the state. Seriously. After that I rode the 'big-tube" wave as 35" TV's took off.

1997 to present selling industrial engines for the same employer, in an industry that's suffered from a lot of contraction and shake-outs. It's not as fun as it used to be, but I should be able to retire in five and a half years.

16 years of adult volleyball including championships as a player, captain and coach, retired.

Really nice room, Steve. I have always loved that stuff. I have some pieces from our house when I was a kid. Maybe the TV show will be long gone when I need to fill in the pieces I don't have.

I went on a ski weekend at Wisp, in western MD a couple decades ago, and my motel room was like a time capsule, with all 50s/60s stuff like you have. I couldn't figure out how it was all in such good shape.
