3 old french motorcycles reviews on a old cars bikes meeting yesterday
on one there is a trial of the Kawasaki W2SS, one of the 17 sold in France;
on an other a trial of the only one 90cc GA 2SS scrambler sold in France, we have had the GA 2 but not the scrambler version.
on the last a trial of the H1R which finished 5th overall on le Bol d'Or 24 hours race 1971 (1st were Smart and Dickie on a factory Triumph Trident) interesting, HIR frame, engine and exhausts but with 28 mm standart carbs.

That is probably a good way to make a H1R last for 24 hours - not to mention the fuel stops!! :lol:

Hi JP,

are you sure with the W2SS, that they sold 17 bikes in France? I do have the 3. one which was sold in France. Bought it from a guy longer time ago, who told me that he rides the 24 hour races with a Mach-III. His name was Patrick Hilsz, do you know him? He bought the W new, sold it and found it again many years later as a wreck and in this condition I bought it from him.

Best Regards from Germany, see you in SPA
Ralf
