I reckon it's great what they have done with modern bikes, the little Ninja is a cool thing - wonder where it would be with a modern w/cooled 2-stroke engine, DFI, EI, etc!!!

Like Blokhead's dragbike with the sled engine in it? That's all you need, Rod, a modern sled engine belted to a decent trans.

I've never seen a sled engine Jim, but that is my thinking! Do those things pass emission standards, or are they "off-road"!?

Now that I'm away from the DC area and in the most rural of environments, it doesn't matter to me at all... we have no emissions testing in my county. :D A few years ago my old van had a transmission problem and I phoned my wife. She came to my rescue with another van and a 100 foot piece of 1/2" nylon rope. In Bethesda I would have been arrested. Here no one even blinked.

I got the baby Ninja to replace my KZ 750 "old faithful" scoot. Something that I can jump on when I want, and not have to doodle around with, It just starts and runs.

Mark H. built a first gen 250 with a RD motor, it was a cool scoot.
