Cheap Chinese scooter cans are readily available and cheap. I used them on the Delco Killers on the Phoenix Project. Easy to do and no modification to the pipe required.

I got it safely home safely this past weekend. I was surprised at how little the chambers weigh compared to stock pipes. That in itself ought to improve performance quite a bit. The seller has been running it on 32:1 premix since he got it over 18 years ago. Said he didn't really trust the early forced oiling system all that much. Serial is #18095 Engine is high 14's though I don't recall exact engine number at the moment. Seller says it currently has .020 Wiesco's.
