Sometime late last Year I posted this :
viewtopic.php?f=27&t=7251&p=72705#p72705
.
No-One bit at it, the folks also offered me a spare motor for $700 which at first, I refused, but after a board member graciously offered to collect the bike and loosely re-assemble it, I decided to buy the spare motor as well (Just to add to the pile of H1 motors that I already have  )
.
So, 4 Months later and I have collected the bike and motor from the shippers back in England

Today, I got the bike out and the large box of parts and was gobsmacked to see TWO original airboxes and rubbers in there, the one off the bike was half missing but there was a spare! One looked to be N.O.S. . . . . . So this post is twofold, most importantly, to thank our board member for his honesty and integrity for not having One of the Airboxes away

Then, Secondly, I had a surprise, I need a set of carbs for a H1 (We pinched the carbs for the race cart last Year) So I pulled the spare motor out (KAE 15776) , in the sprocket area, someone had cut the bottom casing to run a chain through  I looked at the cables wrapped on top of the engine . . . . Just like when a dealer takes them out  I then pulled the carbs off and the float bowls - Holy Moly! I have never seen as nice inside except on N.O.S. I looked down the bores, NEW pistons, I looked at the engine mounts, not a single witness mark, I pulled a head ALL NEW :o What an absolute result, it all fell into place, the N.O.S. airbox, the way the cables were wrapped . . . It's an N.O.S. Factory supplied engine 8-) - I'm doing the happy dance right now

Only a wee bit of luck, mostly due to a never ending
Beating of the Bushes.
Excellent score Rick.
