If my sorry arse 18 year old son ever gets out of bed, (IT IS 1540 HRS.) I will try to show him for about the 10th time how to start it and string the cords. It has nothing to do do with facebook or the xbox 360 so I doubt he will absorb it.

I'll bet a face full of ice water will spark some life into him

Power and Road Runner came back on, off since 9pm last nite. Lots of picking up no real damage one tree down. Going to Swansboro tomarrow and check damage there, no power up there and at least 2 large trees down.

We had numerous power dropouts of a fraction of a second each, but it stayed on. It did make me quit welding a couple times. The wind is dying down slowly now.

I don't think we will get anything here except some rain and wind, if the storm stays on its projected track, but I am prepped except for 10 gallons of generator gas. The generator is preflighted and cords are at the ready. If my sorry arse 18 year old son ever gets out of bed, (IT IS 1540 HRS.) The Bridal Unit is still sprawled in bed too while I sweat my arse off outside as ususal. :banghead :banghead :banghead It seems they would at least come and check to see if I am alive or need a drink of water when it is 90 degrees outside, but that won't happen.
I am done venting now back to work as 0400 will come early and I still have to do a long overdue oil change in the Battle Golf and go to to town and get gas.

   I'm sorry tim I feel your pain. :banghead :banghead

Just back from Swansboro, NC 7 trees down, no damage to the house, power came back on about 2p. Dock will need some work. Spent all day cutting 100 year old pines, but I'll still have to call a tree service have two wedged together against two more, an accident waiting to happen. Not my best of days.

Negative Ghost Rider, a bed full of ice water is called for !

Would you lay in a bed with 5 gals. of water in it?

.....don't ask how I know of this tactic.
