Cliff, I had a couple set of them back in the late '70s and '80s. I never had any problems from them. My porting at the time was the typical raised exhaust ports and cut intake side piston skirts. That is, peaky.

It is marginally refreshing to see Wiseco changed the circlip, design, finally. The rest of their piston products never did impress me much.

A Dykes type ring needs to be both a barrel face design, and used with tight piston clearances to be effective. The resign relies on compression pressure to push the ring into the.bore face, and l arte piston clearances, along with excessive piston rock over, defeats their very purpose. This is why the forged HeR pistons didn't work well.,when we went to a nicer vacuum spin casting, a single thin ring and tight piston clearances, piston life and effectiveness radically increased.
