It has always interested me that the Triples, when compared to anything else available at the time, were built better than most, in spite of being able to clean the floor with the opposition. For example, I have lots of rubber stuff, footpegs, gauge shrouds etc, etc, that is like new, you won't find that with old English bikes for e.g. And who had better Electrical wiring and connectors? Italian bikes? Lucas electrics on English bikes? Then you get into engine and gearbox reliability, who did that better than the Japanese Manufacturers at the time? I agree that the Triples were built simply, and even to a price, but they were not built poorly, like some others were.

Ive never ridden a Z1, or an H2 for that matter. I rode a GPZ750 a few times, and I have an S2.

For me, if a bike does not scare me a little every time I ride it, somethings just missing from the experience.
I think thats why Ive always held dear to big bore 2 strokes in the offroad realm.
