I think you can bet them from Forks by Frank.

If you can get ahold of a KZ900-KZ1000 front end the forks are a couple of inches longer. Fork tube diameter is the same as H1/H2. Axles are different.

I do know that some KZ fork setups will slide in to a stock H series triple clamp.
Depending on what type wheel you want to run, (spokes v mag) there are a good few possibilities.

ahhh wondered why my post wasnt there Mike....

ya beat me by a second or two and I never saw the message
Same deal with other Kaw fork setups and the smaller triples.
My KH400 had a KZ650 front end which I slid off and replaced with an S3 one, complete.

None on eBay now. I remember them on eBay. Don't think they sold many. not to many people wanting chopper front ends now days. Used to be the cool thing to do.

Whatever you find, one 'old skool' was a pair of screw in extensions. these are dangerous things, they literally screwed into the top of the stock fork tubes, like the top nuts, had spring spacers, and used the stock top nuts. At 6 inches length, the ones you would use will have the junction at the bottom triple clamp, extremely weak, and completely dangerous.

Yes, there were some lunatics that actually used them, until they got brained silly from them breaking the tubes at the threaded junctions.

Fellow by the name of Bob Landey (sp) had a charcoal H1 that was totally stock.
Bought it new and it had maybe 2000 miles on it in '72
But had 8" over tubes on her.
We used to laugh at him when he pulled in to the shop.

I'd sell my oldest for that "choppah" of his now though...

I think he may have beena buddy of Dennis and Jess and the guys from the next town over from Glen Cove.

8-) 8-) 8-)

I heard about a lot of testing on secret stuff, running up and down 106 and 107
Lots of twisties and great riding road after hours....
