I sold my truck but have access to a nice enclosed trailer.
Anybody either close by or passing through to the Gap?
I'm in Maryland / DC / Northern Virginia area.

It became an in town truck with a billion miles plus it was a Ranger and not a great candidate for towing.
Perfect for local dirt bike trips though.
I traded it to have all the floors refinished in my house.

I can see your point. My old F100 with 496K miles was not a cross-country driver either - why I bought a new one last month - BUT research proved full sized trucks get top dollar with low miles. I bought a 2010 Chev 2500HD crew cab long bed with 192K miles and paid $25,000 which was a fair price for it's condition. Duramax/Allison goes 400k + miles. No way I'd buy a gas engine with 200K miles on it..... The Chev/GMC cheaper maintenance costs over ford and dodge (my son looked up common repairs in All-Data).

Thought I would bump this around again.
A rental van is about $475 and I'm assuming $200 in gas for an 1,100 mile round trip.
I have a line on a beat up pickup truck that would allow me to meet anyone that is coming through Maryland / VA.
Any of you guys north of me (or not too far west or south) have an open space for a bike for some $$?

Anybody that wants to go (without a ride) that wants to get in on a U-Haul plan?

I am planning to rent one of these maybe to go to Mid Ohio.

Enterprise Truck rentals.
This rate is out of Syracuse, the closest place that rents them.
When I quoted out of Wilkes Barre it was 299 a week.???
Still better than 400 bucks right?

Thanks for the suggestion.
They are $440.
Might be more with extra insurance.
