Mark, tell me a little more about it. I'm only about an hour away. Less by H2. :D

Cherry Von Bomb sounds interesting.

Thanks, I'm going to try to finish some triple parts and other obligations and see if I can make Saturday available. It would be fun to ride back roads about 45 miles to the event.

I had a really nice back-roads 50 mile ride to the event and met Mark (m in sc) who had ridden in with a group of cool Charlotte guys. It was very casual, with lots of café racers, and lots of old Japanese and British bikes. There were some good deals on bikes and parts, but I averted my eyes. There wasn't any triple stuff for sale that I saw. As soon as I parked, I had people asking about my H2. It was the only one there, and the only other triple was a rider H1 with chambers and a missing silencer. Poor guy had a noisy ride home, I'm sure. I even had a guy try to buy my H2, which was a first for me. The organizers all but insisted that I enter it in the show, so I did. I was hoping there would be a Kawasaki triples category, since I'd have a good shot at 1st place. I would have had a lot of fun with that trophy. It turned out I was the victim of not enough categories. All the Jap bikes were lumped together, so I didn't have a chance. Mark and I had a great lunch at a café in the middle of things, and the locally brewed IPAs were excellent. My H2 is in the 1st photo.

That moto/yamaha with the goldinverted forks looks tidy.

It sure does, but that flat seat and no rear fender are scary just to look at. I've slid to the rear of my H2 seat at least once, and once is all it would take...
