Really? I've never stayed in a hotel that charged for Internet service. I thought that was expected these days.

I travel regularly and agree. I've never paid for in-room internet service. Keep in mind, my travel is mostly business related, so I stay in Marriott and IHG chains, don't know what the privates or 5 stars are doing.

The Four Seasons charges for wi-fi believe or not.

I stayed at the Sheraton in Norfolk, VA which was a 3.5 star, but I'm not a fancy pants, I did stay at at DGMR and was very comfy, my only complaint was that those bloody bunk beds are squeaky, you couldn't even turn over without the bed making nuff noise.

They tried it once and everyone attempted downloading pictures and video...clogges up the bandwidth.

Anywhere you are in the country....if you need cell phone coverage....I've always found a fire station to have coverage. The fire station on the way to Robbinsville has cell phone coverage....well...Verizon anyway.

I just stayed at a Disney resort and they had free internet. Nothing else was free however. I've always had free internet at any hotel I've ever stayed at.

LOL, well some hotels the wifi is free, some not. The important thing is that there is NO wifi or cell service at the Resort. Hopefully the payphone there actually works and no one hogs it all the time................like maybe Ric? :P

I go to the Pit Stop gas station/beer supply place just down 28 for free internet and my cell phone works there as well but my Cell phone can also make calls over a wifi connection.

That's part of Fontana Village. I didn't realize you could get cell and WiFi service there, thanks. I usually go all the way to the top of the hill to the lobby of the hotel, but apparently that's not necessary.
