Hi,

our German Triple Rally will be this year from the 08. to 10. of August. It's at the Lochmühle again like last year. It's not far away
from Limburg and only 80 km's from Frankfurt. It's a very nice place. We have again a drag race on Saturday.
It will be very interested because the German tuning guys did a lot to beat the flying dutchman. It's always funny there. Camping on side and so on.
Some of the UK and Dutch guys now this place, hope to see many of you this year in Germany, you are wellcome. Perhaps JP you can bring some off
your froggy's with you this year. That would be great.

All the best from Frankfurt
Ralf

Hi Ralf,

I'm a bit confused.

I entered Lochmühle into google maps and it is shown as being in the south of Germany but when I enter Limburg it is in the north!

Which is correct?

Cheers
Derek

Hi Derek,

you must search after Oberzeuzheim, it's the next town. Lochmühle is the name of a restaurant and the camping.
It's not far away form Limburg and Hadamar.

Regards
Ralf

Hi Ralf, apologoies for the late reply.
I had been considering coming over as the boss likes Germany and she is the real Triple addict in the house.
The cost for a weekend, ferries not rally fee, was high but the final decision not to come was when the engine in her H1D
stopped working at the North West Rally in Blackpool.
From a light tinkle to a stop in 20 miles, small end through the crank. The engine is going back to Blackpool for Mr Higgs to make well and shiney again.

Standard bores with about 12000 miles on them. As the bike isn't used for chasing the redline I don't think cast pistons should be a problem, two up running around is the norm.
There was a problem before we left as it had been running on 2 cylinders at low revs and coming back onto 3 above 4500rpm when it would run well.
The plug was black and wet before we left so I replaced it with a new one. It didn't cure the running problem though. The other plugs were a bit sooty
on the body but the electrodes were clean. When ticking over the pulse from the exhaust was off beat, a couple of normal and then a strong pulse (more of a bang).
I have a set of Ivan's Jets on order but it will be a wee while before they are needed now.

Hi Ralf

As you say there is always next year.

Cheers
Derek
